Phase 2 Details

Phase 2 includes a full size 11v11 soccer stadium with bleachers and lights, as well as the first facility for missionary housing.  Scroll down for more.

** Update **

We have adjusted some details for missionary housing from the images below. The general idea, number of family dwellings, and corresponding cost, remain the same.

11v11 Stadium

The centerpiece of the whole property is an outdoor, artificial turf, 11v11 stadium. In addition to being the Rhinos training facility and home field, the stadium will be a fixture location in the city of Santa Cruz for community events, weekly leagues, tournaments, camps, etc.

Our architect and builder have advised artificial turf over natural grass based on their cost evaluation over time, water consumption, and maintenance.

The plans for the field include:

  • Full size 11v11 turf field with goals
  • Stadium lighting
  • Access road around the field, also serving as running track
  • Stadium seating
  • Sophisticated drainage and filtration system

Cost: $368,000

Mission House #1 (3 homes)

Missionary Housing Building #1 can accommodate up to 3 families.  The design is for a 3-bedroom home on the first floor, and two 2-bedroom apartments on the 2nd floor. Depending on team dynamics, the 2nd floor apartments can be opened up to create one home.

The location of the housing unit is in between the Academy/field and the front gate, on the high side of the property, allowing for the missionaries to have full range of view over the entire property.

Cost: $279,000 (93k each)

Total Cost for Phase 2: $647,000
