Phase 3 Details

Phase 3 is the longterm goal with the future in mind.  In order of priority: #1 is a building that serves as a team-house, staff house, and housing for Bible Institute residents. #2 is a second missionary house, large enough for two more families. And #3 is additional sports facilities giving more options for tournaments, leagues, camps, training, and multi-sports.

Team-house, Staff & Bible Institute Resident Housing

One of our favorite buildings included in the plans.  Level 1 has 4 apartments for staff, Bible Institute residents, or missionaries/pastors in training... and level 2 is the team-house space.

The 4 apartments on level 1 each have a 2 private bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and back-patio laundry station.

The team-house space on the second floor has 3 large rooms, each able to sleep 10-12 people, and each equipped with private bathrooms and showers. The 4th room on the second floor is a large room with a kitchen and living space.

There is also a spiral staircase going up to the rooftop terrace.

Basketball Court / Multi-purpose Area

In the plans, the basketball / multipurpose court is immediately outside the entrance into the Academy building.

5v5 Field

Futsal (5v5) is very popular in Santa Cruz del Quiché, with leagues running year-round.

The last item in our plans is a covered 5v5 field.  This allows not only for training options for the Rhinos during the 6-month rainy season, but also the ability to host 5v5 tournaments throughout the year.

Missionary Housing #2 (2 families)

With all the different moving parts to the Quiché Academy, more missionary families will certainly be needed.

With one home on each floor, the second missionary housing facility will accommodate 2 families.
